Nordby Design-Architecture & Interiors was founded in 2002 by Jon Nordby. He had spent many years in the Architectural field and after three years as the VP of Milestone Development in Hillsboro, Oregon, Jon branched out on his own. His passion for structural innovation and desire to help others bring their creative visions to life are the foundational blocks that make Nordby Design continue to drive forward successfully. After only three years in business, in 2005, the company expanded with the addition of interior design services. Nordby Design, Architecture & Interiors added award winning designer Julie Nordby to lead the interior sector of the company.

We have over 50 years of combined experience from commercial to residential. Specialize in Bespoke designs. Each and every project is one of a kind, created expertly for the specific site and tailored to the owner’s vision. There is no project that is too far out of reach for Nordby Design.

Jon Nordby

Architect

Jon Nordby was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He studied at the University of Oregon and competed on the swim team. He graduated in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. He has over 37 years in the architectural field and has built an impressive and diversified professional portfolio. His projects range from commercial to high end residential designs. Jon has designed many custom homes as well as resorts, hotels, restaurants, educational institutes, religious/cultural centers, office buildings, and high tech business spaces.

Julie Nordby

Interior Designer

With over 17 years experience as an interior designer, Principal Designer Julie Nordby has always enjoyed creating warm, comfortable and inspired spaces. As a young child she would sit and sketch out her room, eventually rearranging everything. Her love for design later led her into fulfilling her passion as an interior designer. Now she uses that enthusiasm to create current, yet timeless, contemporary and sophisticated spaces. It is clear that her thoughtful and genuine approach has made her a standout within her field.
