From Ideas to Impact

Every successful project navigates through several complex phases. We at Nordby Design have the expertise to guide you through the entire process from project conception to completion with the goal of delivering functional spaces that are both beautiful and thriving with life.

Architecture

  • Site Evaluation |
    Pre-Purchase Property Assessment

Before you purchase a structure or plot of land, let our experts conduct a complete evaluation of the potential site that you are looking to work with. We will help you determine whether or not your vision is feasible for the particular site. We will gather the critical preliminary information such as restraints, requirements and general guidelines that will impact any project you may choose to move forward with. We will then note the findings in a clean and easy to interpret report to guide you through the evaluation process before buying a structure/land site.

Note: Our Pre-Purchase Site Evaluation is not included in the Pre-Design Service. Contact us to set up a specific service package tailored to you.

  • Pre-Design Service

Our team will analyze your site and structure for pre-existing conditions, structural stability, land documentation history and requirements. From the physical site evaluation, we can gather structural measurements, setbacks, easement impacts and essential height requirements. This research will then be translated into a report that will give you an idea for what form of structure, building or subdivision that can be developed. The objective is to deliver a projection of the possibilities for your site and what that might look like.

  • Architectural Services

We build off of the preliminary work conducted in the pre-design phase and develop it further. Our team collaborates with you to transform your vision for the site into a one-of-a-kind bespoke conceptual design that is specific to you and the property site. Our Architectural team is expertly led by Jon Nordby, who has over 30 years in the field. We take care of the conceptual designs, construction documents and pulling of necessary permits. We coordinate and communicate with the other project specialists and engineers as they perform their services in conjunction with ours. We can also provide guidance in the selection of a general contractor for the project if needed.

Development

Entitlements/Subdivisions

If a project happens to require any approvals from the city beyond the usual building permits, our team can work in conjunction with other trades through this process and attain the entitlements on your behalf. The process can be grudgingly long, evolving many moving parts, our experience will help guide you through it smoothly.
